Margaret M. Farley
For eleven years, Maggie Farley has been helping health care organizations successfully achieve and maintain compliance with state, federal and accrediting organization mandates.
Recognized for her extensive knowledge of standards and her ability to manage complex projects, Maggie specializes in accreditation survey preparation, onsite assessments, and compliance maintenance programs. Additionally, she provides consulting services related to other compliance initiatives including Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, and performance improvement. Core services include designing, managing, and implementing strategies to achieve compliance, as well as, addressing company culture and the specific and unique needs of her clients.
As a registered nurse, Maggie has over 30 years experience in a variety of healthcare settings. She began her career as a medical-surgical nurse at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, and upon returning to CT, became a cardiac intensive care nurse. She was promoted to critical care supervisor, a position she held at both St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center and Manchester Memorial Hospital. Her extensive experience also includes long term care. She has held positions, such as Quality Assurance Director, Nursing Supervisor, Special Projects Coordinator, Regional Clinical Director, and Corporate Compliance Officer.
In 1995, Maggie began accepting clients that needed assistance with accreditation and 100% of her clients have achieved accreditation. She currently works with DME providers, nursing homes, home care agencies, and physician and dental practices.
Over the past several years, Maggie transitioned her consulting firm to specialize in accreditation preparation for DME providers. Her ability to address the evolving demands placed on these providers is facilitated by her extensive experience with larger healthcare organizations. The quality and dedication of her services is of great value to the DME providers she continues to serve.
Karen E. Farley
Karen E. Farley is the Vice President of Alliance Consulting Services of Florida, Inc. She graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA in May 2004 with a BA in Sociology.
In concert with exemplary educational credentials, Karen’s strong background in client services, marketing, and project management provides the platform for her ability to make a wide range of contributions to the company.
Awarded a Human Resources internship at NSTAR in 2003, Karen developed a diverse set of skills through planning, organizing, and implementing a mandatory, company-wide staff education and training program. Karen supervised and directed the entire project, alongside her mentors, for over 800 middle-management-and-above employees. Recognized for outstanding communication and information management skills, Karen also contributed to the delivery of corporate utilization analyses and several additional Human Resource management projects. Utilizing strong analytical skills, she evaluated and edited location specific safety policies, evacuation contingencies and appropriate documentation for critical compliance mandates. Working alongside the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Senior Safety Director, Karen completed the Emergency Action Plan project for use by external evaluators and corporate management.
Karen brings a fresh, innovative perspective to the firm and her ability to see the “big picture” will undoubtedly help clients with implementation of new or redesigned processes as they prepare for an accreditation survey.
Currently, Karen’s efforts are focused on providing client support services, as well as, developing successful business and marketing strategies. She is also training to become a Certified Management Consultant. With proven experience and the unique combination of interpersonal skills and information management skills, Karen is dedicated and ambitious in her efforts to contribute to the success of DME suppliers facing new challenges in today’s homecare industry.
